The SKOWRONKI (SKYLARKS) Girls' Choir from Centrum Kultury Zamek (ZAMEK Culture Centre) in Poznań /Poland/ is an internationally famous ensemble. It is one of the best girls' choirs in Europe. It regularly goes on concert tours, acting as an ambassador of Polish culture. Many such trips are connected with participation in prestigious competitions, from where the choir brings back main prizes and glowing opinions of the juries and audiences. It records for the television, radio and releases albums. It receives invitations to participate in opera spectacles. It co-operates with The Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Choir is conducted and creatively inspired by ALICJA SZELUGA.Younger choir groups are looked after by the conductor Julia Łynsza.Marzena Michałowska a singer and teacher, shapes and creates the voices. The Choir's accompanying pianist is Czesław Łynsza.

Une chanson magnifique. Un appel aux armes, dans le contexte de la lutte contre l'esclavage. Je refuse d'apprendre ce chant aux jeunes. Vivant aux Antilles, nous avons eu des coups de feu tiré au Carnaval. L'année dernière nous avons enterré un jeu adolescent tué par arme par un autre jeune adolescent. Même si la musique est belle, analysons les paroles et posons nous les questions sur la banalisation des armes. Une chanson n'est jamais anodine.
